Aram H. Kinosian

March 30, 1940 - July 4, 2022

Faith, family, and friendship were pillars in Aram’s life. Aram had a deep faith, loved everyone, and was so pleased to have led Prayers Of The People in worship on July 3rd. His passing is a great shock. Aram was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a successful businessman and engaged community member. Aram radiated compassion, mindfulness, joyfulness, and an infectious smile.

Joyanne and the family appreciate the love and prayers of so many friends. Pray for her and their family in these tender days of coping with this shock. Celebration of Life, 11am Saturday August 13th. Keck Auditorium (building just northwest of Erdman Chapel on Stevenson campus.)

It is only faith that can bring us consolation. Death separates us only physically, but the union of heart and spirit can grow even more deeply through faith. Aram served as Chair of our board for two weeks, but in those two weeks he taught me a great deal about awareness, affirmation, and attitude. He is a faithful, joy-filled, Christ-serving, God-honoring man. He will be dearly missed.

Remember those six powerful words Jesus offered to his disciples before his death: “Let not your hearts be troubled…” Jesus went on to say, “you believe in God…There is plenty of room in my Father’s house. I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14: 1-6) May God’s presence bring us peace and confidence in our brother’s home-going.

Loving and gracious God, thank you for the hope and assurance of life’s eternal nature. Death is not like the period at the end of a sentence but like a comma—marking a transition into a new and different from of life where we continue to live with you and in the hearts and minds of loved ones and friends. Continue to be with us and guide us by your grace and mercy. AMEN

God has taken a true gentleman!
