Welcome home to Cayden Bloomer, performing some of his favorite solo repertoire today on the oboe. Cayden is from Monterey and currently studies music performance under the guidance of Jonathan Davis at UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music. Cayden’s talent has led him to perform at various notable events and venues around the area. He has made appearances at the Monterey Bay Jazz Festival, Carmel Bach Festival, Santa Cruz Baroque Festival, the Hidden Valley Summer Institute studying with Elaine Douvas, and the Central Coast Orchestra and Jazz Academy, where he studied with Gabe Young. His musical prowess has also earned him national recognition, allowing him to perform twice at Carnegie Hall as part of a nation-wide orchestra.
