Doubling the impact of ten fingers, twenty fingers capture the full brilliance and expansive range of our lovely Steinway piano in today’s prelude music. Czech composer Antonín Dvořák originally wrote the Slavonic Dances for piano, four-hands. They became so popular that he eventually scored the music for full orchestra, and a few years later, composed a second set. Among Dvořák’s best-known compositions, the music is based on Dvořák’s re-creation of idioms and rhythms characteristic of folk dances from his native Bohemia. And if this music makes you joyful enough to smile, or even tap, feel free!
