FROM OUR PASTOR

This Sunday’s service is doubly special. Paul Wilmot is our featured musician, and the Reverend Denise Welsh is our guest preacher.
Those who heard Paul last November can attest to his joyful and revelatory playing on both piano and organ. In our Chapel, Paul will play a concert with Melinda on Saturday, 3:30PM, and highlight our Sunday Concertino. (Click to read more about Paul.)
Denise, like Paul, is a joyful person with gifts of spiritual revelation. In her work as a hospital chaplain on a pediatric oncology ward, Denise served parents, staff and children, helping them discern the presence of God in the challenges of serious illness and death.
Denise was raised in our area, but migrated to the East for Wellesley and Harvard Business School, beginning her career with Bain Consulting. As she raised her daughters, she actively volunteered in youth ministry, and began to hear God’s call to seminary. After graduating from Princeton Theological Seminary and advanced chaplaincy training in her mid-life, she accepted a position as Chaplain for Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City. She recently retired from that work, but never her calling as minister.
Paul and Denise will bless our service with fresh spirit and insights.
