This week we’ll celebrate the Advent Sunday of Peace. Aren’t you hungry for peace – not only in our national politics, but in our towns and families? Perhaps some of us are even grateful for this quieter, quarantined Christmas – guaranteed domestic peace!
Yet, the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, inspired conflict throughout his life. What can we learn about making peace from this rabble rouser?
This Sunday we’ll explore Jesus’s nonviolent tactics — tactics that have been adopted by thousands of leaders seeking to create real and lasting peace. Jesus shows us simple but powerful practices that create the possibility for real peace.
We can use those same tactics in our families, workplaces and towns.
Learn them this week, and then put them to work in your next contentious gathering — even on Zoom!
