Last summer some thieves stole a semi-truck-trailer in Cleveland. On the passenger seat, alongside the thieves, was the trucker’s tiny, Go-Pro video camera – left on. The thieves’ faces and actions were all recorded, and shared via local news and Facebook.
But, what would we see were a Go-Pro camera left in the tomb of Jesus? This Sunday we celebrate Christ’s resurrection from the dead. Are you waiting on “Go-Pro” evidence for Easter’s proclamation?
Those early Christians weren’t. They had another way to know that Christ had triumphed over death. We’ll explore their “evidence” in my Easter message.
Join us this Easter Sunday for our in-person Sunrise Service, on our deck at 7:30 AM. We’ll be blessed by rousing songs of resurrection (including, “Because He Lives,” sung by local favorite Julie Capili). And we’ll be blessed to be together in community, after a long, hard year! Praise the Lord!
Then, back at home, warm up with a hot cup of coffee and click on our video-taped, traditional service, with your favorite Church in the Forest musicians — the talented Neal family from Florida and, of course, our own Melinda and Bob.
