LIVING AND GRIEVING
“What are you doing today?” Almost every daily encounter with a friend either by phone or email includes that question. One wonders what the answer would be to the question: “What are you be-ing today?”
Life is a question of balance: work/play; solitude/community; exercise/stillness. How easy it is to get out of balance in our lives, even when we are retired. Our schedules get overcrowded and we find ourselves overcommitted and then we wonder why we are so tired, so cranky and then bewildered because nothing seems to be going right.
And at no time is this more difficult than we when are grieving. We are at a loss as to what to do and where to go and everything is heavy. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday as we glean ways to lighten the load.
