ARE YOU THERE?
The Fourth of July! We gather to celebrate our freedom and remember those who have gone before to make it so. We revel in the traditions of the day: the fireworks, the picnics with the traditional food of hot dogs, watermelon and ice cream, the gatherings, the carefree spirit that the day offers us.
But what about the days that are not full of warmth, laughter and tradition? What about the times when we are uncertain about the future and find the way ahead murky and threatening?
Admittedly, it is far easier to plan for a day of fun with friends than to sit in uneasy stillness unsure of which direction we are to travel.
I look forward to being with you on Sunday as we explore the challenge of “Which Way, Lord?”
