Psalm 133 focuses on unity. Nowhere has unity been more exemplified in recent times than with the aftermath of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Thousands lined the streets to pay tribute to her and her amazing reign. Commentators acknowledged her remarkable dedication to her duties as Queen. Perhaps most significant of all was the sight of her grandsons, William and Harry with their wives, greeting mourners outside Windsor Castle.
In the aftermath of her death, news coverage focused on the Royal Family, the crowds, the world’s reaction and the transfer of the Crown to King Charles the Third. And interspersed were daily church of meditation and reflection attended by the members of the Royal Family as well as members of Parliament, Labor Party and Conservatives sitting side by side.
The end of one reign and the beginning of another: United in worship. Regardless of your political party or where you are on your journey in life, know this: There is always a place for you at our church in the forest.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
